The education system in India needs a major overhaul. With 81% of the Indian youth leaving school without the foundational skills they need to get adequate employment, we noticed a major flaw in the Indian learning sector.
Mahattattva has created a state-of-the-art academic program that makes quality, progressive education accessible and affordable for schools nationwide. We build essential 21st-century skills through our research-backed, forward-thinking C.R.E.A.T.E. Curriculum to give students the mindset and skill sets they require to succeed. In effect, we prepare them for the real world.
Our new-age learning strategies and routines have been validated by international educational research, which is then tailored to the specific cultural and social needs of the schools via our strategic Academic Reviews. Mahattattva’s core focus lies in transforming schools' existing systems and their teaching methods to provide students with the education they need to compete at a global scale, helping them fast-track their progress to where they need to be. From school management to digital leadership, we support students and teachers alike to revolutionise modern education by providing tailored resources.
A vast majority of Indian schools apply rote-based learning to their curriculum, a learning technique that relies heavily on repetition in order to score well on standardized tests. Rote-based learning does not allow for a deeper understanding of the topic being studied, nor the connection between new and past knowledge. There is no room for creativity or explanation – only the correct answer.
By focusing solely on memorisation and repetition, rote-based learning hinders the ability of students to envision unique and creative solutions to problems. As a result, 63% of employers in the Manpower Employer Survey 2019 said they were unable to recruit personnel with the skill sets they needed. The answer is clear – students need more than just academic learning.
Our academic leaders have spent several years curating a cutting-edge curriculum based on international best-practices and contextualising them to the Indian environment. We believe education should be tailored to local educational needs, and the Mahattattva team has tried, tested, and iterated our curriculum to deliver on this promise. Our curriculum is mapped to the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) guidelines and is in line with the National Educational Policy(NEP).
